Kwinana Industrial Strategy Submission

On behalf of the Kwinana Industries Council, urbanplan provided critique and recommended changes to the proposed Kwinana Industrial Strategy to ensure maintenance of existing uses and a pragmatic approach to planning for future expansion of heavy industry in Kwinana Industrial Area.

This submission by urbanplan proceded a hallmark Scheme Amendment to change the statutes of the Western Australian Planning Commission and the two local authorities of Rockingham and Kwinana. The purpose of the Scheme Amendments was to reduce the onerous development application requirements and planning approval procedures applied to industrial development.
