Postans Precinct Structure Plan

Many strategic documents and statutes overlook the Postans Precinct. This significant parcel (of approximately 690 hectares) has much to offer in terms of future land use development. The goal of the Postans Precinct Industrial Structure Plan Project is to explore the potential for other land uses, particularly general and transitional industrial uses, mixed use and commercial uses within a context of best practice planning and sustainability principles

In the context of Kwinana and the State’s regional development, the Postans Precinct is a strategic land parcel that should be recognised for its longer term development potential for emerging industry. There is real opportunity for government to apply the facilitated development model. Land release in this locality should be progressive in response to strategic industries’ specific supply chain, land requirements and business collaboration or for emerging industries.
